Viridian Abyss - Act 3 - Pre-Op Intel for 01O

The Ukrainian military has received unconfirmed reports of potentially hostile military activity in the vicinity of Miroslavl, a key strategic town in southern Ukraine. Due to logistical constraints and current operational commitments, Ukrainian forces are unable to investigate immediately. Banshee Company has been assigned to deploy to the area and conduct a reconnaissance operation.

The area has been the source of both Russian-backed separatist forces and local militia groups since the beginning of the invasion. Although the region remains relatively calm, Miroslavl’s proximity to active conflict zones to the east raises concerns about potential infiltration or the movement of irregular forces through the area.

Mission Objectives

- Establish Contact with the regional governor, who can be found at one of two locations:
- Miroslavl Regional Administrative Center
- Governor's Residence: Located across the river, northeast of Miroslavl
- Follow up on any intelligence provided by the governor

Mission Intelligence

Recent reports indicate unusual activity in rural areas outside Miroslavl, possibly connected to irregular force movements. However, no large-scale military units have been confirmed in the region. Locals have reported seeing unmarked vehicles and hearing distant explosions, though specifics remain unclear. The regional governor has more detailed information, and Norse Platoon is to assess the situation based on his intelligence.

The governor is confirmed to have two police officers serving him as a 24/7 security team.
