Viridian Abyss - Act 2 - Pre-Op Intel for 27S

Norse Platoon will spearhead the assault into the town of Campbeltown, which remains occupied by Russian forces. Ukrainian military units have established a perimeter around the city and will be following Norse into the town after the initial breach. They will provide support during the assault with indirect fire and drone surveillance to assist in identifying enemy positions. This operation aims to clear the town of Russian forces, making it safe for civilian reoccupation and allowing Ukrainian units to establish a firm foothold in the area.

Objectives:

- Breach Russian defensive lines on the northern side of Campbeltown.
- Clear Russian forces from key locations in the town, including administrative and logistical centers.
- Coordinate with Ukrainian artillery for indirect fire support on identified enemy positions.
- Secure a foothold for follow-on Ukrainian forces to enter the city.
- If time allows, proceed south to the position previously identified by Olympus.

Mission Intelligence:

- Russian forces in Campbeltown consist of remnants from the 135th Motor Rifle Regiment and elements of the 22nd Guards Tank Regiment.
- Russian positions include fortified structures within residential and industrial zones, with likely armor and infantry defenses.
- UAV surveillance has confirmed Russian patrols moving between key structures and defensive points.
- The Ukrainian military will provide drone surveillance to track enemy movements and artillery support from the northern perimeter.
- Russian units may attempt to withdraw south once the assault begins, but Ukrainian forces have sealed off major routes.
- If Norse is able to move to Objective #2, coordinate with Olympus for intel on the area for potential routes/positions.
