Norse Platoon conducted a successful reconnaissance and combat patrol in their designated patrol area south of the airfield. During the patrol, Norse Platoon made contact with Russian forces at multiple points along the route, engaging and neutralizing enemy infantry and mechanized positions. However, after discovering and calling artillery on a large Russian Forward Operating Base south of Campbeltown, the platoon faced a counter-attack from mechanized Russian forces, including several infantry fighting vehicles and one armored vehicle. The intensity of the assault forced Norse Platoon to conduct a tactical withdrawal back to the airfield to avoid being overrun. Despite the retreat, the patrol was deemed a success, with multiple enemy assets and infantry groups neutralized.
