After the failed recon operation, we now have new intelligence that points to an inbound Russian assault on our current position. Armed with this information, the Ukrainian military forces have altered their deployment strategy and will be taking up positions on the opposite side of the penninsula. Reports indicate that elements of the 135th Motor Rifle Regiment, the 22nd Guards Tank Regiment, and the 14th Helicopter Squadron are mustering to the south, and will be conducting their attack in the immediate future. At the first possible opportunity, Norse Platoon is directed to immediately take any remaining vehicular assets and move at best possible speed to the Ukrainian positions to the west.
Mission Objectives:
- Hold the FOB for as long as possible and repel the initial assault
- Execute a retreat at the first opportunity.
- Travel west across the peninsula to reach the Ukrainian controlled area.
- Secure Norse Platoon’s vehicular assets at the Ukrainian Army positions
Mission Intelligence:
- Elements from the 135th Motor Rifle Regiment, the 22nd Guards Tank Regiment and the 14th Helicopter Squadron have been spotted mustering approximately 2km south of our FOB
- Enemy numbers are estimated to be a battalion strength combined arms element
