Norse Platoon advanced from the Ukrainian supply point at the Industrial Site, joining forces with Ukrainian units to initiate the assault on Virojoki. The joint effort successfully breached Russian defenses, leading to the liberation of key areas within the city. The operation's primary objective, the assault on the Russian HQ at the football stadium, was executed with precision. Norse Platoon successfully neutralized the headquarters, resulting in the elimination of the local Russian commander, as well as the remainder of his staff.
In a devastating retaliatory strike, Russian forces deployed a tactical nuclear weapon targeting the southwest airfield, a key location being utilized by the Ukrainian military. The weapon, estimated to have a yield of approximately 60 kilotons, causing catastrophic destruction across the area. All military units, PDS included, immediately evacuated the region. The nuclear strike occurred with such little warning that Banshee Company provided their unused vehicles to assist Ukrainian military forces in evacuating the area.
This attack drew immediate outrage across the world, and could very well mark the beginning of further hostilities as countries begin to take sides in the ongoing conflict.
Note: With the majority of PDS assets having been staged further north, as well as us letting them use them (wink wink nudge nudge), losses to equipment were negligible.
