Viridian Abyss - Act 1 - Pre-Op Intel for 20A

(this is a continuation of our 13 August 2024 mission, which was called off due to interference from Blyatman)

The 87th Armored Regiment's supply point has been secured, and the Russian 4th Guards Tank Division has been pushed back behind the front lines. Intelligence has them moving further east towards the previously visited industrial area.

Mission Objectives

Once assembled, Norse Platoon will:

- Move to the northwestern regions of the area and begin a recon patrol, moving east
- If a suitable location is found for a potential second FOB, notify Company HQ and standby for further directions
- FOB location should be easily defended, with enough open ground for helo operations
- If any Russian forces are encountered, authorization to eliminate on sight is granted

Mission Intel

- The 4th Guards, currently moving east, have been engaged by the 110th Mechanized Regiment's left flank. They are attempting to push through contact to regroup with Russian forces
- Additionally, the 110th has gained ground on the 2nd Guards Motor Rifle Division, moving the front lines further east.
- In the southeast, the 529th Mechanized Regiment continues to push the 1st Guards north, and have now returned the town of Kirkonkyla to Ukrainian control

Rules of Engagement

Past the designated "front line", all armed contacts are considered hostile. Any deviations from this will be relayed to ground element by Company HQ prior to step-off.
Infrastructure damage is a secondary concern. Our "primary" mission is the quick elimination of Russian forces in the area.
