Viridian Abyss - Act 1 - Pre-Op Intel for 02A

With Praetorian now having a foot on the ground, and nearly a full set of local radio relay stations in place, the need for local intelligence is now top priority.

Our military liason, Lieutenant Oleh Kovalchuk, has passed on intelligence regarding known Russian units that are operating in the area. Outside of currently occurring engagements, current positions and compositions of these units are only approximate. According to Lt. Kovalchuck, the Russian units operating in this region of Ukraine are as follows:

- 4th Guards Tank Division
- 2nd Guards Motor Rifle Division
- Elements of the 291st Artillery Brigade
- Elements of the 15th Army Aviation Brigade
- An unknown element from the GRU Special Forces

Additionally, fixed wing aircraft from the 368th Assault Aviation Regiment are providing close air support for local Russian units, and are based outside of our area of operations.

Mission Objectives

To support continued operations in the region, mission objectives are as follows:

- Conduct foot patrols across enemy lines to determine locations, sizes and compositions of enemy forces in and around the 2nd Guards Division area
- Relay locations of enemy camps/entrenched positions to Company. Positions will be passed on to Ukrainian artillery units for fire missions.
- After completion of fire missions, Norse Platoon will sweep said positions and provide a Battle Damage Assessment
- If able, travel to the third radio relay position and setup tower three

Mission Intel

- Ukrainian citizens, including those contracted to the military, have been ordered to evacuate
- The 93rd Mechanized Bde is currently fighting two major engagements against the Russians
- Unless explicitly ordered to, avoid the areas around this engagement
- Outside of the southeastern combat area, the location of the 2nd Guards Div is unknown
