Norse Platoon encountered heavy resistance from Russian VDV as they attempted to move northwest to find the source of radio jamming. Documents discovered indicated that a Russian site was located on the extreme northwest of the island, one that seemed to be the source of the interference.

Additional information was discovered that outlined patrol schedules of various Russian units, suggesting a significant military presence on the island.
