Praetorian has finally returned to it's base in Togo, flush with new funding. Lattef Bina, our procurement officer, is not only deposting the cash, but has also arranged a buyer for the diamonds. Our task is to move the diamonds to the buyer without drawing the attention of our "friend", General Mbala.
The shipment has been hidden in an old civilian truck, but in our absence, Mbala has increased his patrols across the region, tightening his grip on key roads and villages. His forces are watching for anything unusual. If they discover the shipment, Mbala will make an attempt to seize it.
Primary Objectives
- Recon ahead of the truck to quietely eliminate Mbala’s scouts, checkpoints, and drones before they can raise alarm.
- If possible, avoiding Mbala's forces is prefered
- Maintain the cover story of a simple civilian cargo run. If the deception fails, defend it by force.
- Deliver the truck to the warehouse rendezvous and secure the transaction.
- If Mbala commits forces, hold the buyer’s site long enough to finish the exchange, then exfil.
Mission Intelligence
- Mbala’s hold on the region has strengthened. Patrols have doubled in frequency, with squads moving through towns and technicals being stationed at choke points. His checkpoints may appear as “friendly” inspections, but they are hunting for signs of smuggling.
- Plain clothes informants are monitoring villages. If they identify the disguised truck, Mbala will mobilize.
- If alerted, expect technicals, and armed militia. They may attempt to disable and capture the truck first.
- The buyer is neutral, but paranoid. The longer negotiations take, the more likely Mbala’s patrols will converge on the site.
- Unaligned gangs and militia may interfere opportunistically.
