With the airfield now "secure", we need to begin securing the immediate area.
The militants in the area have been identified as "Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin", a jihadist militant coalition, and are conducting recruitment and transport operations in the area. With the numbers they possess, the airfield will not be safe until they have been "persuaded" to leave the area.
Primary Objective
- Patrol nearby towns to ensure there are no JNIM militants near the airfield
"Secondary Objective"
- Norse will travel to the town of Maku, which contains an oil processing facility.
- Upon arrival , Norse will eliminate any enemy combatants and "liberate" the facility.
Mission Intelligence
- Number of enemy combatants is unknown.
- We DO know that they possess IDF capabilities. <:troll:863527879161020506>
- HUMINT has id'd several BTRs in the area.
Additional Note
Forward elements from Olympus and Aztec have arrived at the airfield, bringing a small group of vehicles with them. Additionally, the beginnings of a communications infrastructure are being established.
