The journal recovered from Dr. Marek Ivanov's body indicates that he was actively collaborating with Russian military personnel, who were attempting to locate a Cold War area research complex. It indicates that he was preparing to leave the region for an area further north to meet with a courier, but was clearly intercepted and kidnapped by the Gaia's Fist terrorists, who more than likely were ignorant of exactly who he was. Our employer has directed us to travel to this region, locate the courier, and secure whatever he was going to deliver. A rendezvous point identifed by map coordinates point to a small farm in an area designated "Mutalathi".
Primary Objectives
- Move to Mutalathi (I can't believe I'm typing this) in a ___STEALTHY___ manner. Search the rendezvous point and adjacent area for any documents, drives, or physical intelligence.
- Prepare an ambush. When the courier arrives, "sign" for the delivery.
- We don't want him reporting back, do we?
- Keep an eye out for possible hostiles. The Russians know that Ivanov is dead. Assume they are in the region.
Mission Intelligence
- Due to the remoteness of the region, we had to travel here on fishing boats. We were able to bring two motorcycles with us, but outside of that, we are on foot for this mission.
- The region is populated by Russian civilians. Assume that they will report us if spotted.
- Do NOT kill civilians. We don't want to draw attention.
- Once the "package" has been "received", Company will send someone out on one of the motorcycles to pick it up and drive it back to the boat dock to be secured.
