Gaia’s Fist has shown their hand in the region, seizing Dr. Marek Ivanov, a visiting geobiologist. They have publicly demanded that Sergei Markov cease Arctic operations or they will execute the scientist. While Markov has refused their demands publicly, he has privately asked Praetorian to recover Dr. Ivanov and return him safely. Drone surveillance has fixed the location to the Jankos industrial area. This is a time sensitive hostage rescue, treat it as high priority.
Primary Objectives:
- Locate and rescue Dr. Marek Ivanov, confirm medical status, exfil to the airfield.
- If possible, capture any Gaia's Fist encountered. If unable, eliminate them.
- Recover any documents, drives, or signage linking this cell to wider Gaia’s Fist command and funding.
- Minimize civilian casualties and infrastructure damage, preserve plausible deniability for Sergei.
Mission Intelligence:
- We suspect no less than 20 ecoterrorists, armed with assault rifles and shotguns. Expect sentries and potential IEDs in the area.
- Comms intercepts indicate possible public execution within the next 2 hours.
- Sporadic signals from both the Chinese and Russians have been detected, but nothing that indicates significant activity. Drone sweeps will be taking place in an attempt to detect them.
