Sergei Markov has dismissed Aegis Boreal Security, due to both their losses and apparent competence. Their remaining assets are withdrawing to the NW airfield for departure. With Aegis departing, Norse must act to follow up on the intelligence recovered from the eliminated Chinese "gentlemen". Aztec 6, using a seven year old copy of Rosetta Stone, translated some of the intel, which points to a site southeast of the former Aegis airfield. While highly doubtful, 2LT Westmoreland swears it is something labeled as “submarine basics.” Sergei wants Norse to travel there, investigate, and recover any information on why they are in the area.
Primary Objectives
- Move to the indicated coordinates southeast of the Aegis airfield, search the site and secure any documents, drives, or physical evidence.
- Secure the site. Once the initial assault is complete, two teams from Aztec will be dispatched to provide support.
- Photograph, tag, and exfiltrate recovered intelligence, do not attempt field decryption. If you can't carry it out of the site, mark it for later retrieval.
- If hostile forces are detected, delay action and report contacts. Avoid decisive engagement unless necessary to preserve intel or prevent enemy exfiltration.
Mission Intelligence
- Aegis Boreal Security is officially departing, their remaining elements will not support this mission.
- The translated intel references “submarine basics”, which knowing who translated it, is likely a mistranslation. Having said that, keep an eye out for submarines.
- While there have been no confirmed sightings of Gaia’s Fist, traffic on civilian radio bands have been highly active, more so than before.
